What a wonderful place to stay! Short Stay Houses in Vinkeveen is a true oasis of peace. The location on the water is truly beautiful and creates a serene atmosphere. The owner, Kristien, is extremely friendly and flexible. Her hospitality makes the stay extra pleasant. A big plus is the proximity to beautiful nature reserves, which are easily accessible by bike. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy Dutch nature. The accommodation itself is comfortable and well maintained. I can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful environment, with the perfect balance between nature and comfort. Thank you Kristien, for an unforgettable stay!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The smoothest landing in a new area. Trying new work projects in Amsterdam, Short Stay Houses was exactly what I needed. The surrounding nature makes every day feel like a holiday, but the most important thing: the host’s flexibility and hospitality. Kristien always gives her best for her guests and is really helping them forward in doing so.

Verified 🌟 A Peaceful waterside EscapeWe’ve just returned from a lovely long weekend at the waterfront place, and it was exactly what we needed. The self-contained annex is well-equipped with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It’s nestled in a peaceful, private garden shared with a few other charming properties, surrounded by greenery, a quiet canal, and just a few steps away is a seating area overlooking the lake — a perfect spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. The surroundings were absolutely picturesque — ideal for unwinding, reading, or gentle walks. Cristina welcomed us warmly on arrival; she is genuinely lovely and made us feel right at home from the start.Thank you for a wonderful stay — we’d love to come back!

Verified Kristien is a very friendly host. We felt at home. She puts a lot of effort into everything. We would love to come back again. It was a fantastic holiday with Kristien. We didn't have a car, but we were able to get around easily from the accommodation as there was a bus stop almost on the doorstep. All in all, a fantastic holiday 👍😍 Best wishes, Tina and Jenny

Verified Beautiful setting for this accommodation near the water. Quiet location. We thought we had a one-bedroom apartment according to the description with a water view. It's actually a single room on the side of a house. Need to go outside to see the water. We nevertheless had a good stay.

Verified The room is very functional for spending a few days as a couple in the Amsterdam region. The lakeside setting is very peaceful and beautiful. We were able to park very easily right in front and travel to Amsterdam, Lisses, and Flevoland thanks to the nearby highway. The only slight drawback is that this proximity causes a slight background noise because the soundproofing in the room is not optimal, but it didn't bother us too much. We were also able to go to Amsterdam by bike in an hour via very safe cycle paths. Thank you for the welcome, we had an excellent stay.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommended!!!! This place is a haven of peace, I spent 4 months there and I really felt at home. The calm, the beautiful view, the space of the apartment and the place itself really makes you happy and at peace!

Besides, the landlord is very kind and pays attention to details. And at the same, she trusts you and gives you full access to the domain without being invasive at all, you are home.

As I said, I highly recommend this place whether you are alone or a couple, this is the right place! I enjoyed every moment there! And I’d like to thank Kristien again because you really make me feel at home. Be blessed.

Verified Great location in a harbor. The apartment isn't very large, with a small kitchen and a two-burner induction hob. But it's manageable. Lovely sunsets on the lake next to the apartment. We cycled extensively from here, the surroundings are beautiful! In short, we had a wonderful time.

Verified We had a lovely stay. It's an incredibly beautiful setting to unwind. The surrounding town is easily accessible by car. We had a truly wonderful time. The only criticism we noticed was the bathroom door; it's a sliding door, so you can't lock it. Plus, you can hear everything. Nevertheless, it was a lovely "getaway," and the hostess was very friendly and accommodating :)

The communication went really well and Kristien is a great Host! The room has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable! Maybe the best bed in an Airbnb we ever had. You can also use a part of the terrace where you have a nice view to the water and boats. We will definitely come back when heading to Amsterdam or Utrecht the next time! :-)

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. House was lovely. Was really surprised by the kitchen built into a "wardrobe". It had everything I needed. Can't fault the host for anything. She went out of her way to meet me for check in and checkout. Also said I could ask her for anything. If I come back to Amsterdam I'll be sure to stay at hers. Connections are good for someone like me who had no bike, no car. Easy to get to the city centre.

Verified The host is lovely and made sure I had everything I needed. Went out of her way to make sure she was there for my check in and checkout and was always happy to help. If you're not going to have a bike and car like me then don't worry because the connection to the city centre is easy enough. Had ducks as neighbours and the surrounding is very peaceful so I'd recommend it to everyone. The kitchen had everything I needed and was nicely tucked away inside cabinet doors.

Verified Christina's home is in a fantastic location in a small harbor with beautiful surroundings. Although it is far from the city and restaurants, there are good options for getting around by bus that you can take nearby. The house you live in is divided into three, and the room we stayed in had its own entrance, toilet and bath, and a small kitchenette that works fine if it is just for a light breakfast. Christina is sweet and nice and very quick to fix it if there are things you are missing. We will definitely come back another good time.

Verified Responsive and warm hostess. Some points for improvement: accommodation attached to another, the photos are misleading: smaller than it appears but perfectly adequate for the price. Also, specify that this accommodation does not include a terrace unlike the other. The bath towels were too small and a hairdryer would not be refused. Aside from these points, the private location and the setting transport us completely elsewhere. We do not suspect what is hidden while we are right next to the highway! Very easy to access from the center of Amsterdam without a vehicle. I will repeat our stay at Kristien's without hesitation and I recommend!

Verified Beautiful views of the lake. It was great weather and the sunset was stunning. There was some noises (shower and taps) but it was okay. There was no heating system so was a little chilly. Host was very helpful and communicated well throughout the stay. Bus stop is close to get to places. Good stay away for the busyness

Verified A nice place if you are looking for something close to amsterdam but still quiet and relaxing. We especially loved walking alongside the water and checking out all the beautiful houses.

Verified Kristien was a great host! Very flexible, willing to help and friendly. We mainly explored Amsterdam but it was easy to find drivers to take us right into town. Loved the water views and even though it was rainy, it was great to be outside. Really cozy place!

Verified Very good stay, short but pleasant. Impeccable bedding; small but very functional kitchen. Small house located near the Marina. Beautiful environment. Very warm welcome from Milan who waited for us despite our delay. Thank you for providing us with precise information on how to reach Amsterdam by public transport (bus, metro). We hope to return soon for a longer stay.

Verified The hosts were very nice and responded quickly to our questions. The location is incredibly beautiful—especially in summer when you can swim in the lake. The amenities were good, and everything we needed was there. We liked the coffee machine the most.

Verified Really lovely place with a beautiful view of the lake. It was really clean (except for a couple of cobwebs in the ceiling). Everything was tidy and the bed was super comfy. We could hear the neighbours a little bit, but it was generally quiet. It was easy to get to the centre of Amsterdam (bus stop only a few minutes walk away), but it took about 45 minutes in total on public transport. It was a bit difficult to find the entrance to the place when we first arrived, but we called the host and they explained where it was, and also came to meet us and show us around. The host was very friendly, helpful and always replied quickly.

Verified We had a pleasant stay in this region. The accommodation is very well located and quiet. We received a very warm welcome from Milan. On the other hand, the cleanliness really leaves something to be desired (presence of hair and fur, cobwebs and their inhabitants, crumbs and dust), it's a real shame.

I think this was my best decision not to have the stress of finding accommodation in a competitive marking with a deadline.

Verified Very large, well-equipped accommodation in a quiet marina 15 minutes by car from Amsterdam. There are no shutters, they are Venetian blinds, so no sleeping in :). The nearest supermarket is a 5-minute drive or 15-minute bike ride away and does not accept Mastercard. The owner is very welcoming and very responsive.

Verified This apartment is part of an incredible lake resort on the outskirts of Amsterdam. We had a great time relaxing by the water after a night out. The city center is easily reachable by bus or from any Park and Ride center if you prefer to drive.Inside, everything was clean and up to the described state. We had a small misunderstanding regarding the bathroom towels not being present, but Kristien was extremely kind to offer us a free apartment upgrade for our next visit.

Verified The apartment is located in a lovely environment inside marina and is right next to the water. The bed is big and comfortable (almost as comfortable as our water bed at home ;-)). The place is clean and recently renovated. There are all kitchen necessities and Kirsten (and her team) is very responsive and communicative. We drove there with rent-a-car, but the place is accessible through public transport, even from Schiphol (train & bus).

Verified Clean and comfortable apartment on the edge of a canal. The only drawback is its distance from the center (about 45 min) although there is a bus stop nearby. The host is accommodating and available.
